Wow…
where do I
even begin? My Daddy truly is the coolest guy I know. He is
always there for me. We do the most random things together.
Every adventure with him is amazing! He always introduces me
to new music and takes me to new places. He’s very inspiring
and supports my creativity completely. He's always thinking
up new places to explore and adventure to, whether it be some
geeky Comic Convention or just a forest, perfect for photography!
He even lets me help him out for his job, which makes me feel
really special! My Daddy understands me in a way that nobody
else does. His mind is like mine in a lot of ways, too. I also
think it is really nice that he always welcomes my friends along
on our adventures. My Daddy and I are like two peas in a pod.
He always puts a smile on my face, and I always put one on his!

I
picked the Coolest Contest
because he can fit into the Bravest, Funniest, and Coolest category.
That makes him pretty cool. For the past 6 months we have had
custody of my niece, and in 2 months we will adopt her. With
his kids being 21, 19, 14 and 11 it takes a very brave and strong
person to take on a 3-year-old little girl and raise her. While
all this was going on he was in college, training to be a paramedic.
He also has a very good sense of humor. No matter what is going
on, it could be the worst time of our life, he can still find
the good in it and make a joke. He makes life into a big fun
game, and we all know that it not always is. My dad is also
cool because he rides a motorcycle and is a biker. Now I know
you’re thinking yeah so what? But here is the catch. He,
and his bike group (he's the president) go all over to help
kids. They sponsor Feed the Children, and Children's Hospital
for their Camp Joyful Heart (a camp for cardiac kids that can't
go to any other camps due to their condition). My dad is the
coolest dad out there. Even though we butt heads a lot, he's
the best father a daughter could ask for. He most definitely
deserves this award! – Danielle, 14, Kentucky

My
dad is always inspiring
me. Everyone respects him and he is sure to be able to get anyone
and everyone to smile. He can be serious when I need it though.
I am a huge worrywart and am always crying. He will come into
my room and will not leave until he is sure that I am okay.
My dad is also very strong. We wrestle all the time and he usually
beats me, but that is okay. One time, I was really super nervous
about trying out for a special women’s choir. I decided
not to do it but my dad talked me into it. I ended up not making
it, but who cares? I was happy and my dad was proud! Another
time, I got lost. I finally got back to my house and found my
dad crying. He was so happy when I got back. I was so grateful
that my dad cared so much for me. He almost never cries and
that made the moment even more special. I am so glad that I
have such a wonderful dad! – Abby, 11, New Mexico
