FAIRYLAND GONE MAD!! This year for my Halloween party I was really into the Fairy thing so me and my friend decorated the back steps that go to my basement with glitter, fairy dust(confetti!), posters on fairies and Halloween designs and strings of beautiful colored leaves. Then when you entered the basement there were dead leaves strung from the ceiling, ghosts everywhere ,a black light to add a glow and a mirror on which we printed in "blood" "Help I'm trapped and they're coming to get me..."(we wrote it backwards though and when we wrote the "me" we made the E zigzag down so it looked like they got her!!). Then when you got half way down the hallway there were candles and more spiderwebs also with the help of some friends and family when you walked by the table (pool table in disguise) they would grab at you and make noises!!!!!!! IT WAS GREAT!!! To top all that off me and my friends were fairies and the effect was we were trapped in a haunted forest that had ruined fairyland! Allison, 14, Virginia
I was driving on the way to my Halloween party at the community center. It was hosted by our church director. There were black and orange crepe paper everywhere, hung with streamers, ringlet chains, pumpkins, fake spider webs, lanterns, and even fake lightening flashes. In the corner of the enormous room was a fake haunted house that was black with realistic looking features. You could actually go inside and there was a sort of adventure "mystery" game that the older (and younger) kids could play. For dinner there was noodles that were dyed red (it looked disgusting!) but it turned out to taste sort of like strawberries, and there were dozens of foods to choose from! For dessert we had vampire-bread cookies, pumpkin pie, and so much more! We saw some older kids and teenagers do dances to the latest modern music on the stage, we had a kids corner with the best costume of the party, face-painting, balloons, and other cool stuff. At the end, there were four wicked plays. The first play was really scary, a mystery murder one, and at the end there was a blood-curdling scream and that was the end. The second play was for kids, but it was funny and fun because you could join along and make up stuff on the stage and still could be in the skit. The third and fourth play were in another language, so I couldn't understand it. All in all, the total party was a ten. Tiffany, 11, Canada
A great party I went to was a tropical one. There were leis, hula skirts, palm trees, and people dressed up as the characters from "Gilligan's Island", Hawaiians, or tourists. It was really neat mostly because of the awesome lighting. They had flow and palm tree string lights and torch-like holders stuck in the yard with lighted candles in them. Ruby, 12, Alabama
This one Halloween party I went to was at school, and the decorations were so cool. They had a ghost that flew around like a real ghost, and it had black and orange string hanging everywhere. It also had some scary music at times. It was just so cool. The reason why I think it was acutely the bomb was because I got a boyfriend and that is da bomb.

It happened when I got invited to the party of the year on Halloween. It started at 6 and ended at 3:30 in the morning!!! We got 13 bags of candy!!!(pillow cases!) It was a dance party with a cool D.J, and loads of prizes! It was the best night of my life! I danced with the most popular boy in school and we're going to the movies Friday night! "Tiger", 11, California
The coolest Halloween party that I ever went to was a party of my friend. They had a haunted house and it was scary 'cause as you entered, people lit candles and threw on you some fake blood. They also had some scary masks and lots of food. In the Halloween style, all of us where in scary costumes. We watched some scary movies and then got back to our houses about 12:00pm.

I went to my next door neighbor's Halloween party. It was so much fun! We had cupcakes that looked like pumpkins, cookies that looked like skeletons, and gummy worms! We also had red punch. Yummy! We also played a few games of hide and seek. That was really fun. And last of all, we got goody bags. A pencil with either a ghost or a pumpkin at the end, Halloween stickers, and a recipe for spooky food! THAT HALLOWEEN PARTY WAS DA BOMB! Wendy, 11, Minnesota
I had one in my back yard and there was dry ice in my pool, ghosts filled trees, a grave yard with black lights everywhere. I was a vampire who walked around stalking people, and there were booths were you reach your hand in and feel worms, even though it's noodles with mayonnaise, and it was really fun. Kelly, 13, Georgia
I had the best Halloween ever!! I invited all my friends in the morning we went to town to get some sweeties and nibbles! We had all bought our costumes and made them together and we had a right laugh. We had stocked up on loads of scary vids! We all went trick or treatiing and had the time of our life! We got back and stuffed our faces, hid behind the sofa at the scary movies and played "Truth or Dare". We laughed and chatted. It was great! We're doing the same thing this year and I cant wait!!

This year I decided to have a Halloween party, but I was didn't want to throw the usual "get-together", so I came up with the idea of a Scavenger Hunt Halloween Party. All the guests show up at my house at a certain time. We put them all into groups and send them on their way armed with the Scavenger Hunt List, a Polaroid PopShot Camera, and two cans of silly string. Everyone has to go out (in costume) searching for as many items on the list as possible. On the hunt, if they see their opponents parked car, they can decorate it with silly string. Now, whichever group gets back to my house by the designated time with the most items wins. After that, we're having a classic party with all those games we used to play when we were kids and then a horror movie marathon. I thought it was a different approach to make the holiday more memorable. Crystal Rose, 18, Massachusetts
My friends and I threw a Halloween party last year and we did the rockin' 90's. This year you can dress up like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Marilyn Manson (now that's a scary one!) and all the hot music stars of today. Or you could do movies and music! Kari, 10, Missouri
My brother went to a party and the theme was a murder mystery and you have to figure out the mystery and everything of who did it and stuff. Kind of like the game clue but in real life from what My brother told me it was a lot of fun. Liz, 12, Pennsylvania
My favorite Halloween party was last year first when we got there we played pin the wart on the witch nose then we had a bobbing for apples contest. After that we painted a can for our goody bags. We also had a relay to put on a witch and a clown costume. We had a costume contest and voted for the best. We ate pizza and then watched our basketball game from 5th grade. We went trick-or-treating and then went back and we played a game where you draw a thing out of a hat and your partner has to paint your face and dress you up as that thing then you do the same for your partner then we see who did the best. Tracy, 12, North Dakota
We had a Halloween party theme " I Love Lucy ." It was a crack up. We made our living room into the Cocoa Cabana night club, with palm trees, a band stand with Rickie Ricardo. We had people dressed as their favorite Lucy characters. There were alien Ethels and Freds in pajamas , Lucy in her Carmen Miranda fruit hat, A friend brought over Rickie's big band sounds . Friends still talk about that party. Debbi, California
The coolest Halloween party was at my friend Kaylie's house! She had a Magic Person, A DJ, and different kinds of games and if you won the prize you could win a CD! Also there was a strobe light that blinked on and off! There was also a magic trick which we all got to get involved in. The party was so awesome.

It was so awesome...here's some good ideas for the best Halloween party..We had a friend of ours sit outside looking like a fake monster but when my friends would ring the doorbell he would scare them. We had black lights throughout the whole house....We had a dummy hanging from the ceiling...and we had another dummy on the roof with a string attached to it and when it was kinda quite in the house and I pulled the string, the dummy came off the roof and swung into the glass door onto our patio..It was so kewl. My friends all screamed..We also had all the food like chips and stuff inside a coffin and the soda in those blood bags from hospitals...we had a fog machine making the floor invisible...and we had a black cat just walking around the house...we had a whole lot of other things too. Meridith, 13, New Jersey
Have a jammin' time at an "Enchantress" and more party! First, you should probably find a better name though. Have everyone come as a witch, zombie, mummy, or countess (Vampire). Play "Light as a feather, stiff as a board", and other ghostly games. If you can, get cardboard coffins for people to sleep in. Don't forget the ghost stories, and make sure that all Vampires stay out of the sun, and get plenty of BLOOD! Serena, 13, Florida
