2012 Our Scariest Halloween
Ever

It was Halloween and I went out with my best friends. There was
a house that had no lights on and no decorations we knocked on the
door three times and no one answered. My friends said let’s
go, but I said no. They stayed with me for five minutes after that,
and left. As soon as they left a tall man in a costume answered
the door. I though it was a real dead person but then he gave me
candy. On the way back to find my friends I told them a man answered.
They didn’t believe me. So we went to the house and knocked
on the door. The lady that lived next door came out and said the
man that lived there died last year on Halloween. – Kaitlyn,

Last year when I went trick or treating, my friends and I were
having a great time. Our only friend who wasn’t there was
my friend Amy because she had to stay home. We went to a "haunted"
house and we had to pass a fake graveyard. Someone was sitting in
a chair near the graveyard but I couldn’t tell who. Suddenly
she screamed and we found out it was Amy. – Bethany, 11, California
I was walking with my brother to a house (I was a cheetah and my
brother was Darth Vader). When we got to the house, an old lady
opened the door and handed out the candy bowl. Well about two seconds
after she opened the door, a big purple fake spider fell on my brother
and I. We both screamed. My brother ran to my mom and dad but I
stayed there frozen in fear! So now, I look up at every roof when
I'm trick-or-treating! – Maggie, 11, Oregon
My family was coming home from my Grandma's house. We walked on
the porch into the house just like usual. Well my mom went back
out onto the porch and brought groceries in. This time it wasn’t
usual... on the porch was a Fish-Faley knife sticking straight up
from the porch with some blood on it! My dad was hunting and we
asked EVERYBODY. But no one knew how it got there. From that day
on, my family has always wondered what happened that Halloween night.

It was a little haunted house made by the neighbors. It was all
cheap bats and caution signs. So I left my sister all alone and
went to scare her. but then something grabbed my hand and yanked
it. I screamed and ran through the front door. It turned out my
little sister found me and grabbed my hand. – Vipushi, 12,
Canada
My scariest Halloween story is when we came back from trick or
treating I went to sleep. I don't know what time it was, but it
was after midnight. I turned my head and looked out into the hallway
and saw one of my baby dolls walking down the hallway. I think I
almost died because I didn’t know if my eyes were playing
with me, or it was true. The next morning I woke up and there was
orange nail polish on the pole of my bed and it was still open.
I still don't know who or what put the orange nail polish on my
bed. – Olivia, 13, Michigan
A couple years ago my friends and I were having a Halloween Party.
We were all having a great time. We were telling scary stories but
suddenly we heard a knock on the window. I opened the curtains;
there wasn't anybody there. So we all just went on with what we
were doing. Then we heard the knock on the window again so we all
hopped on the couch when suddenly a very scary person with a Michel
Myers mask on popped out from below. We all screamed at the top
of our lungs. Soon he came to the door and opened it up. Then we
realized it was only my uncle Jackson. That was the scariest Halloween
I've ever had. – Amanda, 13, Colorado
