Bravest Moms on the Web:
The 2007 Royal Court
She
is working full time,
going to school, and taking care of my grandmother, brother, my cousin,
and I. I feel like every morning she wakes up she is being brave, because
I would never have the courage to try what she does for one day, what
she does every day. – Briana, 13, Maryland
I
think my mom is brave
because my dad is in the Army. She had to raise three kids alone while
he was in Iraq. She is also brave because she has a severely disabled
child who cannot walk, talk, feed themselves, dress themselves, or be
toilet trained. And she still has time to have a sense of humor. She will
always be the bravest mom ever in my eyes. – Amber, 12,
Texas
Recently,
I have been
going through tough times in school, being left out and teased. I am able
to tell my mom everything that happens and I am positive that she will
do the best thing for me. One day in the car I told her that two girls
in my class were making fun of my project that I worked hard on. My mom
was very brave and went into school and went up to the girls who teased
me. She was as nice as possible to them and told them that they had hurt
my feelings without yelling or being mean to them. She handled the situation
the best anyone could ever have. I am proud of my mom for doing that and
I think it was very brave of her to tell a couple of 12-year-old girls
that for me. – Hayley, 12, Connecticut (PenPal
