Bravest Mom on the Web - 2009Jenny's Mom!
The bravest moms on the web are our Girl's World Moms. Our moms work hard to keep up with us. They hold broken families together and keep warring siblings apart. They fight to make our dreams come true. They take risks, rescue animals, face angry bosses and save kids in trouble. Every girl who wrote us about her mom knows how brave she is every day. It was hard to pick just a few stories to share from thousands of entries. Everyone who wrote in deserves to be a winner. Maybe
my mom
didn't go through a life
or death situation. Maybe she's not physically brave. But as the family
was about to break, she tried to act brave around us. My brother wasn't
doing well. He was doing drugs. He was smoking. He wasn't the same. At
all. I knew my mom cried. I heard her cry in her room at night. I knew
these were the worst MONTHS of her life. But she didn't show us that.
She knew that if she acted sad, we would be even sadder. So she acted
brave. She acted confident. Every day she told us it would get better.
And guess what? It did. My mom is the bravest mom in the world to me,
because through the toughest times, she wouldn't let it get to her. –
