My mom has such a good sense of humor, and she's always brightening up our house. Sometimes, like in all households, it really feels like there's no escape from chaos and bickering. But, my mom has a real knack for brightening up peoples' moods with her wacky sense of humor. One thing that I will always remember about my mom is her love for turning everything into a song. For example, someone might say, "My day has sucked." And then, she will probably break out in "Bad Day" by Daniel Powter. Another thing that she always does is pretend to mishear us when we complain about something. I'll be upset about something and say, "Jeez!" and my mom will be like, "I don't have any cheese!" Or, I'll say, "Omigod!" and my mom will be like, "Leigh, I am NOT a God." The fact that she neglects to come up with any other material makes it even more amusing to me.
