Sarah
Byam Sarah Byam went to school at Northern Michigan University and the Wayne State University Center for Creative Studies. Sarah has been a professional writer for the past 14 years, creating original comics such as Billi 99 for Dark Horse Comics and Mode Extreme for Marvel Comics. She has also written for Disney, Black Canary for DC, an adaptation of Little Women for First Comics, an adaptation of Mists of Avalon for Eclipse Comics and Elfquest for Warp Graphics. Sarah has written for the animated television series Troll Tales and is currently working as the writer on a PBS production of World Weddings, a 13 part documentary series. Sarah is the founder and creative director of Labor of Love studio, an art studio dedicated to community service. Labor of Love has created promotional art and public relations copywriting for: Farestart, a homelessness retraining program; Asarco Copper, an employee environmental education program; Walk a Mile in Your Sister's Shoes, a program which matches state government officials with their constituents on welfare to share common experiences; CE0, a welfare to work training program; Cornerstone, social enterprise; The Grantmakers' Forum for Children Youth and Families, Backyard Enterprises, industrial environmental education; Fair Budget; Care Medical: ACCESS; the Nordic Heritage Museum and many others. Sarah lives in Seattle with her husband, her business partner, and one noisy cat.
