She Hit Me; Should We Stay Friends? Ok, so I have this friend. I said that she liked a boy that she really doesn't like. And she goes off and tries to hit me just because of that! Almost every day when we talk, she says that I like a boy that I don't like - and I don't go off trying to hit her! Should I try to mend the friendship or break it off for good? And how? - Laura, 11, Texas
"Hey, Laura!" I just wanted to say that you started the trend by saying she liked a guy she didn't. You are the one in this situation that did the wrong. A good friend can forgive that but it sounds like she's still mad. If she keeps lying about you, try apologizing to her. It sounds like she was hurt by what you did. Trying to hit you might have been a reaction to something that hurt her. I'm not saying she should've done that at all. Try saying sorry and she'll probably forgive. If not, don't feel guilty. You said sorry and there's nothing more you can do. Good Luck!
