I Want Her For a New Best Friend!

Hi, my name is Kristina and I just started the 7th grade. My problem is that there is a girl at school who is my friend. I know we're really good friends but I would like to be best friends. I sorta don't really know what to say to her. What if I embarrass my self when I ask her who her best friend is and if she'll be my best friend? I would really like for us to be best friends! - Kristina, 12, Florida

"Hey, Kristina!" Ok, you can start by inviting her over to your house and to do things with you like go to the movies or to the mall or sit together at lunch or something like that.

And don't worry about embarrassing yourself. If you just be yourself then you guys will get to know each other better, and then gradually get closer and closer. Eventually, depending on how much time you spend together, will become best friends without having to ask her to be.You just need to give it time.
