"Hey, Allie!" Ouch!!! I know how it feels. First, two best friends liking the same guy is never a good thing. It means that at least one of you is going to get hurt. Sometimes you can lose friendships over these things. No one wants that!

Second, you said this guy kissed her. Yeah, so she let him. In all fairness, if it would have happened to you, you would have done the same thing, right? Still, you need to talk to your friend. Does she know how you feel about this guy? If she does, then yeah that was kinda harsh but I'm sure she never intended to hurt you. She's your best friend. Just tell her how upset you were, and how much it hurt you. Talking to her can really help. You can get all those bad feelings off your chest and you'll feel better. You also mentioned that you are shy. Well I'm right there with ya! Guys used to make me so nervous that I couldn't even look at them! Then, I learned that if you just start up a converstion about something casual like (His new shoes, how he did on his history paper, how hard that math test was.......whatever) you won't sound like you are seriously crushing on him. It's really not that hard. You just have to get over being scared. Plus, guys are really flattered when a girl is talking to them. He'll definately appreciate the attention!
