I Want Back In! I have a friend that hangs out with different groups of people than I do. Sometimes, when she's hanging out with her group, she tries to ignore and ditch me. But we are such good friends, and we've been best friends since 4th grade. What can I do to make her stop being horrid without loosing her as a friend? - Claire, 14, USA "Hey, Claire!"Claire, everyone has a time in life when they feel left out. But maybe your friend doesn't realize that she is making you feel that way, because sometimes people do things without even knowing they did it. Well, once I asked my cousin to call my mom for me, and I said it without realizing that I was being bossy. So, later, my sister told me how bossy I was, and then the next day I asked my cousin if I was being bossy. And she told me that I was, so now I try not be that bossy. So maybe if you could make your friend realize how she is making you feel, then she would know and would try to be a better friend. The best thing to do is to just take a moment and ask her, "Do I make you feel bad or lonely?" When she answers, tell her how you feel and what you are going through. Maybe then your friend will try not to let you feel left out. or if you dont want to tell her directly how you feel than ask her if you can hang out with her other friends too. You could just ask her for a day out at the mall or to just hang. Then maybe you wont feel left out and lonely and she would also try to hang out with you more. You should also give her some space. You know, like sometimes when you get bored with being with someone every single day. Wel,l maybe, that would help and after a while she will come back to you, and you guys will be the unbreakable friends again :) Well
I want to wish you good luck and hope that my advice helps.
