My Brother's Too Protective!

I am so in love with this guy at school, and he likes me back, which is way cool. But I have a brother who's two years older than I am, and he's really protective of me. He beat up three guys last year just 'cause they said they liked me and wanted to go out with me! How do I convince my big brother to lay off my guys!!?? - Carol, 14, India

"Hey, Jenny!" Well, you are only fourteen but it's up to you if you choose to have a boyfriend. I know a lot of people who are your age and have a BF already. If this guy chooses to still like you even though you have a bro that will beat him up, then be must really like you!

Talk to your bro. Tell him how you feel. Some people I know had a BF behind their big bro's back because they were the same like your bro. Tell him that you don't want to do stuff behind his back. Tell him you really like that guy. Tell your bro that he can trust you and if this guy tries something or does something that makes you uncomfortable that you will tell him right away. Then, after knowing that, he will feel much better and will lay off a little.

That's what I did with my little bro!!! He is so protective of me. After I talked to him a little, he layed off completley!!! Well, I hope this helps. Bye!
