My mom always embarrasses me. She'll kiss me on the cheek after dropping me off from school and leave a huge red lipstick mark. Or, she'll yell out, "Come here, Alisi, you forgot your backpack, baby!" or something like that in front of all my classmates. I've tried confronting her and telling her how I feel but she doesn't seem to care. What can I do? - Alisi, 12, Illinois "Hey, Alisi!" Well, mothers tend to do that a lot! It's not that she don't care, it's just that to her, you are growing up too fast. She doesn't want you to grow up. If mothers could choose between their kids growing up or staying babies, they would probably choose for you to stay a baby. Just keep trying to talk to her. Let her know that you are serious and that you dont mind if she shows affection, but not so much in front of friends. Maybe that will work. I hope it does. Until next time, Bye!
