My Sibs Keep Fighting Over the Phone!
My brother,
Kyle, and my sister, Alyssia, fight a lot over using the phone because
they share the same one, and they pay the bills. It's hard because I
can't even concentrate on my math when they are talking about bills
and stuff. What can I do to get them to shut up and share? - Caitlyn,
15, Hawaii
"Hey,
Caitlyn!" If I were you,
I'd find a nice place in my backyard to take my math homework and let
your two sibs waste their time fighting over their phone and its bill.
OR you could start coughing in their faces saying "UGH! I think I
have the flu! Ewww... I think I might barf! Hurry! Get out before I puke
pink goo all over you! AHHHH!"
If they don't run for their lives after this one, you could always get
them out of your room by eating lots and lots of onion dip right before
you go up there to do your homework. Then when they start fighting go
right up to them and say, "REALLY. You should share." Make sure
you breath into their faces a lot. Have you ever smelled onion dip? Ick!
One more idea for you: Since you're working on MATH while they're fighting
over their BILL you could offer to divide the total invoice by how many
phone calls they each made and how long they were. Then you'd give them
each their total and they could pay it. That way, you'd get a little math
in while preventing their ongoing bickering!
