I have a huge problem. My 15 year old sister and I have always been really close. We have also always considered each other best friends. Just recently though, she has been getting into drugs and smoking at school, and hanging around with a bad crowd. My mom and dad don't realize it at all, and I have talked to her to make her stop but she said she won't and this is who she is. Her and I are drifting farther and farther apart, and she has even made me promise not to tell my parents about her doing this. I don't know if I should break the promise to my sister and risk having her hate me, or tell my parents but risk having her get into even more trouble. What do I do? - Amy, 13, West Virginia "Hey, Amy!" Wow! Looks like you have a hard situation on your hands. I know you really care about your sister even if it means having her dislike you for a short period of time. You have to let our parents know before it gets too late. By telling your parents it will actually be helping her out a great deal. Sure she will be mad at you for a while, but don't let it get to you. She'll get over it and end up thanking you in the end. By letting your parents know, you can end up changing her entire life for the better. If you really care about your sister you will tell you parents. Good luck with your sis!
