AGW'S HOLLYWOOD REVIEW CREW PRESENTS

All I Wanna Do
Gina, Angela, and Christine, ages 11-13, of California, members of our brand new, "Hollywood Review Crew", got to screen a new film that opens soon. Here's what they thought of ALL I WANNA DO:

All I WANNA DO focuses on a closely-knit group of friends in a New England all girls' prep school in 1963. Just when these young women are entering the era of "women's lib" and discovering their personal values and dreams, their all-female sanctuary is threatened by a proposed merger with an all-boys' Academy. The girls have no say in the matter.
All I Wanna Do
In the hope of stopping the merger, the friends hatch a wild plan that makes the visiting Academy boys look like irresponsible fools but the incident is covered up and the merger is still planned. Proving that "girl power" rules, the girls lock themselves in the school and refuse to leave until their student vote is counted.

These girls lived in a time before school dorms were co-ed and when women's lib was a new idea. They wanted to concentrate on making themselves something in the world. Although the friends had to deal with their feelings for the boys in their lives, it was more important to them to stand together to save their school. This rocks. Our favorite scene was when all the girls locked themselves inside the school and stood up for their right to have a vote about the future of their school. It showed that girls are strong and when they stand together, they can fight for their rights and accomplish anything!

We liked the music and the 1960's costumes and hairstyles. Some of the pranks were really funny. The actresses were all really great and "real" in their parts. You've probably seen them before. They've done lots of films lately. WARNING! NOT FOR YOUNG KIDS! Due to some of the language, jokes and more "adult" situations with boys, we'd recommend this film only for girls 13 and older.

All I Wanna Do opens March 24, 2000, exclusive in New York City
This movie is rated PG-13
