AGW'S HOLLYWOOD REVIEW CREW PRESENTS

the Road to El Dorado
Renee.w of California got to screen a new film that opens Friday, March 31st. Here's what Renee thought of THE ROAD TO EL DORADO

THE ROAD TO EL DORADO, is a totally fun movie from the same people who brought you Prince of Egypt. You'll love the characters, and there's enough action, romance, danger and very funny parts for everyone in the whole family. Here's the story.
The Road to El Dorado
Imagine two class clowns who think they are con men. They're not very GOOD con men, but what happens next is very funny. These two friends, Tulio and Miguel want to be rich. (Who doesn't?) So they think their troubles are over when they win a map to El Dorado, the legendary City of Gold. They are SO wrong. They get caught and get locked up in the brig of a real nasty -- the Spanish explorer Cortez. Then the action really gets started. They escape with the help of Altiva, Cortez' horse, who is smarter than Tulio and Miguel put together. Thanks to Altiva, they manage to find El Dorado, but the High Priest mistakes them for gods. Tulio and Miguel try to pretend to be gods, but there's no way they can do it without the help of a native girl named Chel, who is smarter and a better con than they are.

Things get MUCH worse and I don't want to give the plot away. Chel's a great trickster, and the deal she makes to help them is really interesting. The music is really good, and Elton John narrates the movie too. The handball game is a scream scene (very FUNNY) and the end is heartrending.

"The Road to El Dorado" has everything; funny characters, suspense, comedy, want-to-see-more romance and you'll be rooting for the good guys to win. Go see it tonight! Your whole family will like it.
