AGW'S HOLLYWOOD REVIEW CREW PRESENTS
Christina.b, 13, of California, one of our "Hollywood Preview Crew", got to screen
a new film that opens soon. She even got to go to the Premiere and party
afterwards at Disneyland! Here are Christina's notes on the Premiere and
her thoughts on Disney's THE KID
The movie THE KID was a really super movie. It had
an excellent story line as well as acting. It's about Russ (Bruce
Willis) who is an image
consultant. His life is turned upside down when an 8-year-old version of
himself appears to him (Spencer Breslin). At first, Russ thinks that
this
child is a figment of his imagination, so he goes to a therapist. Russ
finally realizes that the child really is him when he was young. The two
of
them do a lot of fighting and disagreeing which leads to many funny
moments.
Apparently there were some things that were unresolved for Russ in his
childhood and this has effected his whole life. Young "Rusty" helps him.
To find out what this child was really trying to tell Russ, go see this
fun movie when it opens in your area.
I was lucky enough to go to the world premiere of THE KID. While I was
there, I saw Matthew Perry, Helen Hunt, Cuba Gooding Jr. and even the
star
Bruce Willis . He said HELLO TO ME! I almost fainted. After the movie
was
over, we were all taken over to Disneyland in special buses. They
closed
Tomorrowland for this private party and we got to ride the brand new
Autopia
(before it opens to the public) and even take pictures with the actual
kid
from the movie. They had tons of great food and drinks. All the Disney
characters were there to hang out with us. My little sister danced with
Pluto and Minnie. The entire day was filled with fun. I am so happy that
I
could share all of this with you.
THE KID opened July 7
This movie is rated "PG"
