PRESENTS
Lynn.b, of California, one of our "Hollywood Preview Crew", got to
screen a new film that opens soon. Here's what Lynn thought of THE ADVENTURES OF ROCKY AND BULLWINKLE
In THE ADVENTURES OF ROCKY AND BULLWINKLE, those
cartoon characters from the popular 1960's t.v. show are back to save
the world! Rocket (Rocky) J. Squirrel and Bullwinkle J. Moose are still
living in Frostbite Falls and have no life except old re-runs of their
show. Rocky has even forgotten how to fly. Meanwhile, the evil
Pottsylvanian boss Fearless Leader (Robert DeNiro) plans to take over
the world by "zombiefying" t.v. viewers with his RBTV (Really Bad
Television). FBI agent Karen Sympathy (Piper Perabo) is sent to recruit
Rocky And Bullwinkle and bring them into the real world to stop Fearless
Leader. Boris Badenof (Jason Alexander) and Natasha Fatale (Rene Russo)
who are also able to make the leap from their cartoon lives into the
real world, are under orders to stop Rocky and Bullwinkle before they
foil Fearless Leader's plan.
This film works on two levels. For the adults who loved the show as
kids, all the old jokes and bad puns are back along with lots of
references to fun and silly things from the original t.v. show. For
kids who are just meeting Rocky and Bullwinkle, there are plenty of
funny situations and physical comedy as the moose and squirrel take a
"road trip" trying to ditch the evil Natasha and Boris all the way. This
movie is lots of good, clean fun for all ages. It also carries a good
message: Your childhood dreams can still come true when you grow up.
THE ADVENTURES OF ROCKY AND BULLWINKLE opens June 30th
This movie is rated "G"
