“Breaking Dawn”:
AGW is at the Press Day!

 Here is an interesting quickie update from Breaking Dawn filmmakers, writers and the stars. Complete interviews to come later….
Bill Condon (Director) on Kirsten and Rob’s chemistry: “They couldn’t leave their room in Brazil due to fans but they were gracious. I sensed their chemistry. It’s crazy how close they are and how relaxed they are with that. They were really together in this one so (the scenes) weren’t something they had to act”.
Taylor Lautner on his last scene: “The last dance was the last dance of the movie (Jacob’s wedding dance with Bella was his last scene as the character). It was pretty overwhelming and more emotional than we expected”.
Bill Condon on the last day of shooting: “It snowed in April and it was cold but it was very emotional. Kristen and Taylor danced and Rob watched. Then Kristen cut (the tension) with a joke by running in that wedding gown into the woods yelling “Jacob, come back! I made a mistake. I changed my mind!”
Condon also said that the cast helped him learn their characters and that he and Rob met two months before the shoot started to discuss Edward. Rob described him as “a man full of self-loathing” so they decided to play the scenes in the 1930’s where Edward left his veggie family to taste human blood.
Rob Pattinson reveals that Bella’s birthing scene was the weirdest thing he’d ever done.. “chewing through a placenta and tasting cream cheese and strawberry jam” was just bizarre.
 When asked if he would want a big wedding like the one in the film, Rob told us that Kristen was a little upset when he told her that in those weddings “the groom is like a prop. Everybody is turned around looking at the bride come down the aisle”. Grooms shouldn’t have anything to do with planning a big wedding.
From author Stephenie Meyer: “The wedding was really emotional. I had been there earlier for Kristen’s dress fitting but it really felt like a real wedding”.
Stephenie on Kristen’s pregnancy scenes: “Kristen easily switched back and forth (from vampire to bride, etc. since the film wasn’t shot in order) and she had an instinct to be a mom down very naturally. She’d say things to the director like “Shouldn’t I be looking at my daughter here?”
Meyer reveals that “I have pieces of the vampire backstories in my computer”. But she isn’t ready to revisit the world at present.
Melissa Matheson, screenwriter for the Twilight films, admitted that she once left the entire Breaking Dawn script with all her notes in a ladies’ room in Baton Rouge, Louisiana but it was found by a hotel worker (who evidently wasn’t a Twilight fan)!
Kristen Stewart said that Bella goes through “10 or 15 years of experiences all speeded up” and that when looking at her fake pregnant bump, she did feel maternal and that she “can’t wait”.
