We've Been Friends Since Pre-School!

I moved away from my guy friend last April. We've been best friends since preschool. I saw him last month. He has really changed! Oh, his personality is alright but his voice is so deep, he's half a foot taller than me! I've changed too, I guess because now I'm beginning to love him. He's really nice to me, but will he still be if he figures out I have a crush on him? And how do I tell him without totally clamming up? - Meg, 12, California

"Hey, Meg!'" This is one of those classic scenarios that you run into all of the time. Personally we can't tell how he will react if you tell him how you feel. But, because you and he get along well, we can say that he will be sensitive to your feelings and hopefully he'll under stand that you are serious. If he isn't, and is a jerk about it, than you might as well forget about it. If he's doing that that sort of thing, he's not worth it.

Now, we should think about what you are going to do if he like in return. Mostly, do your let you date? If so…go for it. If not…then there's no point in telling him. Also, are you BOTH ready for a relationship? You should think this over before you tell him. But, either way, good luck!
