Why Does This Guy Keep Insulting Me?

This guy in my class keeps on bugging me. He calls me 'gopher' and 'smaggers' and when he says it, everyone else does, too. So now, all the guys call me 'gopher' and it hurts. I've tried to tell them, but they don't care. Then he messed up a picture of me on his computer and sent it to everyone! I felt really embarrassed and angry. I don't know what to do because this guy has no heart and doesn't care about my feelings at all! Please help me!! - Magdalyn, 13, Canada

"Hey, Magdalyn!'" Sorry about the names that the boy has been spreading around. Many girls around the world have the same problem as you do. The most likely thing is this guy digs you/ likes you. Guys do the weirdest things to say they like you. Most guys pick on a girl which they like. Sometimes they go too far and it hurts, which may be your case. They also keep on picking because they see it bothers you. So they will do it more often and get others to do the same. The only way they stop is when it doesn't bother you any more.

Here's some things you can do:

- Hide your feelings towards him, don't show him/ them it hurts you.

- Write a note telling him it really hurts you (Yeah, I know you have done this but I might have not gotten through his thick head.)

- Talk to a teacher who you trust. She'll can help you solve the problem and see if he does have a problem with you.

Boys are strange. They don't always think of who they are hurting or they don't listen. Just remember, they most likely pick on you because they like you.
