He Makes Fun of My Room!

My boyfriend finally saw my room and he's making fun of me! I have a teddy bear collection that I've had since I was 5. I love my bears. He thinks they are too "baby-ish". How do I let him know I can be grown up and still collect bears? - Shelley, 14, New Hampshire

"Hey, Shelley!'" Your boyfriend has no right to make fun of you. Teddy bears are not babyish. Stuffed animals can be kept by people of all ages. I myself love collecting teddy bears, kittens, puppies, and rabbits. Maturity is not in what you keep or have, but in what you do and say. Teasing? Now I'd say that is immature, or babyish if you prefer. That's like elementary school stuff. Try to talk to your guy and tell him that you are mature. Tell him that teasing you isn't nice and that it's offending you. If he cares about you than he'll chill out. Hope I could help. Good luck!
