The
following was written by Audrey Hepburn, who was asked to share her "beauty
tips"...
For
attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For
lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For
a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For
beautiful hair, let a child run his or her fingers through it once a day.
For
poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.
The
beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she
carries, or the way she combs her hair.
The
beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway
to her heart, the place where love resides.
The
beauty of a woman is not in a facial mode, but the true beauty in a woman
is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the
passion that she shows.
That's
why the beauty of a woman grows with the passing years.

a solid colored top over it, anything with a brand name on it (Hollister,
Abercrombie etc.) tank with a cool sweat shirt over it, 3/4 sleeves
Pants - light colored jeans,
capri sweats with writing on them, ripped jeans with leggings under them
(so the pattern on the leggings show through the holes - it is so cute!)

are cool too, also if you don’t have an iPod; mp3s work

flats

Lavigne

What's Hot
and What's Not in Ohio!
What's
Hot!
Shirts - American Eagle and
Hollister are big. Wearing undershirts that are lacey at the bottom are
always cute. Vibrant colors and cute tops are in.
Jeans - American Eagle jeans are in. Light faded jeans that fit just right,
never too tight, never too loose. Anything that is cute and comfortable
to wear.
Hair - Blonde hair is in. or just about any color as long as you know
how to style it. Straight hair is in. And beautiful curls (loose curls)
are in as well. Bangs that are swept to the side or maybe straightened
are cute too. Not too long or not too short. Messy buns.
Jewelry - Nice earrings, long and shiny cute necklaces go great with nice
tees...but don't go overboard with the jewelry
Make-up - Light and natural makeup is a biggie. Don't pile it all on.
A brush of mascara and a swipe of eyeliner is about it. Maybe a bit of
eye shadow but not too much.
Shoes - When it is warm, flip flops are always in. Flats are cute with
a nice outfit. NIKE!! NIKE!! shoes are in. Nike shocks or anything Nike.
What's Not!
Shirts - Baggy or plain shirts
are so un-cool. Or shirts that don't fit you right. And remember if you
are going to wear a nice shirt, then wear a cute undershirt as well.
Jeans - Jeans that are really dark blue are out. If you deliberately rip
holes in them, then it's so not cool. Wearing leggings under any skirts
are just ugly. Skirts are out for now. Also, jeans where it goes tight,
tight, tight. then gets loose just looks weird. Get jeans that fit, people!
Hair - any hair that looks too long or too short or where you just let
it hang.
Jewelry - jewelry that looks as if it is weighing you down, is a no-no.
Any plastic jewelry is out as well.
Make-up - Any that looks like you are trying to get someone's attention
by putting on that stuff layer by layer; un-natural make-up just isn't
cute
Shoes - Shoes that are falling apart are obviously out. Wedges or high
heels are a no-no. Shoes that aren't very comfortable are a bad choice
You should always find your
OWN sense of style and not try to tag or follow behind others and what
they are doing. If someone is wearing something you like, then buy it.
But if you just buy it to be something you're not...then don't bother.
The most important thing about clothes is if they fit right, and if they're
comfortable to you.

Bottoms: skinny jeans (dark

it! Also, polos from LaCoste, Ralph Lauren, or any place like that. Button-up
dress shirts with stripes from Abercrombie with a cropped vest (usually
white), fitted turtle neck in bright colors, vintage tees

What’s
Hot and What's Not in India!
What’s
Hot!
Tops: Short tops, Tie-dyed
tops, sequined tight ones (kinda)
Bottoms: Mini-skirts teamed
with tights are totally in! Tight jeans and not so baggy ones are cool
too
Accessories: Cute scarves,
sequined clutches are so in
Jewelry: Costume jewelry teamed
up with jeans looks superb, Tibetan jewelry is cute and is very cheap
and looks fab. Fake diamond earrings are too cool.
Stores: Pyramids, Pepe Jeans
London, Pune Central are totally hip stores to shop in
Style: Originality is awarded
greatly here. Copy-cats stay out
Shoes: Keds and boots
Hair: Highlights are very much
in. natural colours, not pink and blues. Wispy bangs
Makeup: mascara, teeny weeny
bit of grayish-black eyeliner, Lip gloss is the in thing. Eye shadow if
you want to look like a diva, but light pinks and blues only
Hangout spots: the mall, Multiplex,
McDonalds, Cadbys
What’s Not!
Tops: Turtlenecks are for geeks,
flowery things are a definite no-no
Bottoms: long skirts, 3/4th
skirts, too-baggy jeans look outrageous!
Accessories: humongous purses
are not practical and look really bad
Jewelry: anything humongous
Shoes: floaters and stilettos
Hair: boy cuts weren't, aren't,
and are never gonna be in, step cuts are another silly thing to do here
Makeup: too much eyeliner makes
you look like a raccoon, Lipstick is totally not working here.
So just keep it in the middle
- neither on the simple and plain side nor on the total diva side. Middle
is the safe and cool zone. Later!
