They Don't Like The Way I Dress!

Sometimes people in my school make fun of the way I dress. I don't know why, but a lot of people think that I have ugly clothes. I feel like I have tried every thing that I can. Nothing seems to work though. How do I get them to stop bugging me? - Lisa, 10, Nebraska

"Hey, Lisa!" Don't spend your money on clothes that are "in" that you definitely don't like. Get clothes that are you! Even though it is hard to ignore the people that you hang around with everyday, remember that everyone has their own style and opinion, and just because they think that your clothes are ugly does not mean that you have to stop wearing those clothes; they are just giving you their opinion. Maybe something that will work is to just be yourself and tell them that you don't really care what they think, or whatever is in your heart to say to them.
